Hoy culmina el “V Festival Internacional de Guitarra”


.Con la participación de 15 guitarristas profesionales nacionales y extranjeros, hoy culminará el V Festival Internacional “Guitarra 2007” en el Teatro Municipal a partir de las 19:00 horas. “Cuando se inició este festival, en el año 2003, sólo tuvimos la participación de Argentina, Bolivia e Inglaterra, en el 2005 participaron 13 países y este año suben a escena artistas de nueve países latinoamericanos y europeos”, señaló el músico y director del festival Roberto Pachari. Hoy estarán en el escenario el Alhambra, Roberto Pachari, Franky de Genius, Rubén Gonzales, Alex Emery, Alfredo Muro, Antonio Rosas, Alberto Cumplido, Marcelo Coronel, Dúo Faces, Manuelcha Prado, entre otros, quienes han tenido exitosas presentaciones y se juntan para el fin de fiesta. Comentarios sobre el V Festival Internacional de Guitarra Arequipa 2007

Antonio Rosas from Lima, Peru was the first flamenco headliner to perform. He studied with Oscar Guzmán and at El ENTRI in Madrid, Spain. There was no printed program for this concert and my ability to understand Spanish is limited, so regretfully, I can’t report the titles of the pieces performed this evening. I will comment on my impressions of each performance – all got rave reviews. The level of all the headliner guitarists here was very high. Antonio Rosas gave an exciting and impressive entry to the flamenco extravaganza that occurred this evening. He presented all his pieces with well developed technique, fluid speed and mastery of all the varied percussive techniques utilized in his guitar style.
